Arist Statement:
"Nanekawasis after the Spiritual Cleanse " is an art piece regarding my late PLains Cree Great Grandfather Alexandre Littlechild whose Indigenous name was Nanekawasis, who was a gifted Hunter, he was known for his Kindness and was a Spiritual man. He is pictured here in his older age having just completed 4 rounds of the sweat lodge, a place of vision, purification and prayer. In 2001 his name Nanekawasis was transferred to me, I am now Nanekawasis. And am honoured to carry his name.
