  • Anastasia Kimmett + Madeleine Lamont

    Artist Reception May 2nd, 5-7pm / Show May 2 - 14

    Together, their works offer a poetic dialogue between restraint and spontaneity, precision and intuition, inviting viewers to explore these ever-present tensions in the natural world.

    This work offers incredible contrast and parallels. Both artist employ deeply intricate processes composed of layering, but remain immensely different in their approach.

    Anastasia’s work is one of a painstakingly intricate, meticulous, and detailed deconstruction and rebuilding of textures and organic forms. Madeleine’s pieces are a intuitive, free form of layering and peeling back of those layers to reveal intimate and gestural impressions.

    Both artist have a rare eye for details that draw you into the work and provide endless space for quiet contemplation and appreciation. Anastasia pulls you in to the most minute detail offering the most gentle calm, and Madeleine’s brushstrokes and rich colour palates leave you almost breathless.

    We are thrilled to kick off 2025 with the mesmerizing work of Victoria-based artist Dylan Cram! A classically trained oil painter and multimedia artist, Cram masterfully blends the high realism of classical painting with the charged imagery of contemporary life.
    In his latest body of work, the aesthetics of high drama unfold through luminous color, glossy surfaces, and layered materials—where nothing is quite as it seems. The familiar and the kitsch shift between recognition and mystery, inviting an interplay of irony, beauty, humor, and desire.
