This collection reflects on the liminal space between the real world and my interior wanderings. They are my attempt to put society on equal footing with the natural world, rather than above it looking down. I like to use abstraction and distortion to emphasize the idea that the unseen is a part of our experience and constantly trying to collaborate with us. These works, if I’m successful will have an element of the otherworldly or perhaps even the slightly absurd. I like this because I like what it says about possibilities. I want to bring hope and a lighter heart to the viewer as well as a sense of connection.
